store in Osprey has closed.
Bealls has opened
their newest concept store in Osprey. At the grand opening,
several hundred people were already lined up outside the store
at 9AM hoping to be the first shoppers at this new addition to
the Osprey business community. Bealls contractors gutted the old
Jacobson's store making minor changes to the exterior and
turning the interior into a large, modern home furnishings store
featuring many popular items.
The store is located in the Southbay
Shopping Center, 1350 South Tamiami Trail in Osprey. According
to a Bealls press release, "the Coastal Home stores offer a broad assortment of fashion
home accents for coastal communities. “Everything in the store
will have a tropical, Florida feel. This is what makes Bealls
Coastal Home stores so unique. The emphasis is on affordable
home fashions geared toward the Florida customer.”, said Mary
Beth Allen, Vice President of Coastal Home.
The merchandise selection includes a wide assortment of home
accents. Large area
rugs, framed art, mirrors, outdoor décor, garden figurines &
lamps are just a few of the categories Bealls will offer along
with the expansion of coastal themed items in housewares,
kitchen gifts, bar and wine accessories, candles & frames found in the existing Bealls
stores. Furniture also plays a big part in the Coastal Home
stores. Bars & barstools, Tiki huts, (pictured above), consoles, coffee tables,
wicker furniture, ottomans, decorative screens & more.
There are a total of three Coastal Home stores.
Osprey, Naples and Melbourne are the communities chosen for this
new venture. “These locations were chosen based on their
proximity to the coast and resort communities.”, said Jim
Simpson, Bealls Vice President of Real Estate."
